Hi there nice peoples!! I though I'd share with you my monthly favourites - this seems to be quite a popular topic at the moment. Here are my January 2018 favourites:
My bullet journal. I did a
post on this earlier this month if you'd like to see how I set up my bullet journal. This is my first time trying a bullet journal and I absolutely LOVE it. It is so easy and convenient to use and I particularly enjoy being able to customise it to my needs. I have always found traditional journals to have too big daily spaces and too little space for other things.
Man with a plan. This
show is one of the funniest I have ever seen and let's be honest, who does not enjoy Matt LeBlanc! :) I also got some parenting ideas from this - yes, I know, it is fiction but the ideas come from the writers and they get it from somewhere, don't they?
Superior Donuts. This
show also gave me quite a chuckle and taught me a bit about racism abroad. Living in South Africa, I am no stranger to racism, but it is always refreshing to learn of other cultures. I particularly liked the way that this show addresses these issues.
Thor: Ragnarok. My husband and I follow the Marvel series and finally saw
Thor: Ragnarok during January on our date night. This one is my favourite of all the Marvel movies! I know there is quite a bit of critique going around, but I REALLY enjoyed the humour in it, it just lifts the story for me.
My new floral ballet pumps. These are my 'spontaneous buy' of January. I originally went to Ackermans to buy my son some vests and saw these - yes, I went to go look at the shoes without any intention to buy some - who doesn't? :). They were the only pair left, in my size (Yay) and was on special when I got to the till. A comfortable and beautiful bargain shoe indeed.
Garnier BB cream. I tried
Garnier's BB cream before, around 2012, and was highly disappointed. It was very oily and made me break out more. Recently I walked around Clicks and saw a
new BB cream by Garnier and decided to give it a try, and I LOVE it. I have no idea what the difference is, but this one certainly works a lot better. It blends in well, does not show on my skin, gives me good cover and most importantly, does not make me break out. I have eczema and have struggled for years to get the right product for my skin, and I am very happy that I finally found it.
So, these are my favourties of the past month. I hope you enjoyed the read and I will post my favourites for every month as the year goes on!
Bye bye :)
Michelle Smillie
